A grade-one academy officially licensed by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Sorna has been teaching since 2003 under the direction of master Nader Shaygan — holder of a master's degree and head of the music workshops at the Art Faculty of Azad University — with the guidance of leading figures of Iranian music, including Dr. Hassan Riahi, Dr. Mohammad Sarir and Dr. Amir Ashraf Aryanpour, and the backing of the Sorna complex's founders.
A standard, fully equipped academy set in a distinctive environment, its aim is to raise the quality of music education across every age group. Drawing on experienced university teachers and renowned performers, it has trained students who go on to top universities and orchestras — and who now teach the next generation themselves.
